There was this game called Nanosaur made some time ago, and Rich Bonk (nice name eh?) made a comic book based on it which was pretty awesome. The plot revolved around intelligent dinosaurs using time travel, advanced weapons, and egg theft to thwart extinction. Seems logical to me.
